Since 1966, Easter Seals New Brunswick (registered under the Canadian Rehabilitation Council for the Disabled) has been a leader in helping people with disabilities to attain independece. To celebrate this milestone, we invited board members, supporters, current and past staff members to the Fredericton Inn.
Easter Seals New Brunswick (CRCD) milestones:
1945 - First Easter Seal introduced to Canada
1952 - Camp Rotary opens
1962 - merge between Crippled Children's Society & the Poliomyelitis Foundation
1966 - incorporation of the New Brunswick Branch of the Canadian Rehabilitation Council for the Disabled
1972 - parternship between CRCD & Rotary Club of Fredericton in the operation of Camp Rotary
1986 - official commencement of the Equipment Loan Bank & Recycle Program
1995 - contract with Depart of Education to begin deploying assistive technology in NB schools
1997 - Name changed to Easter Seals March of Dimes
2006 - Name changed to Easter Seals New Brunswick
2008 - Abilities program begins
